back off the adjusting cable under the vehicle detach the parking brake pedal assembly from the kick pannel { 3 bolts } . Pull the plug on the end of the cable out of its hole in the ratcheting cam. Squeeze the tangs on the parking cable ferrule and slip the cable out through its bracket. After getting another {new or used} re-install in reverse.
