Cannot Open Hood, Release is broken in cab

Need assistance in alternative ways to open hood to truck

This depends on what is wrong with it. The most common issue is the handle on the inside breaks. If that happens then you need to simply grab the cable with a set of pliers and pull it as the handle would.

However, if you can't get the cable then we need to use a long rod with a hook on the end to come in from the side of the latch and try to trip the latch. This will work in most 90's GM products but I have not done it on this one. So I am not sure it will work but if the cable broke off then that is going to be our only way of getting this hood open.
