1998 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

a neighbor replaced ball joints for my son on his truck. wouldn't take any compansation. How long would a job like this take?

To replace upper and lower on both sides it would take around 3 hours for an experienced repair shop.
