I have a 97 s10 idles good but give it gas it will die I changed fuel pump and ragulater still does it dont know why

I have to ask, how long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one. Can you check for applicable trouble codes? At the least, you need an obd2 code reader, to check.
