1997 Chevy S-10 Stalling

1997 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 150K miles

When driving and I depress the clutch I lose all power, my headlights dim and eventually the engine stalls. It will do this every time and when coming to a stop if I do not use the brake or give it a litttle gas to keep the engine revs up. I also have a problem with it stalling after letting off the brakes, it will rev up when brake is depressed then want to stall after letting up on the pedal.
