1997 Chevy S-10 engine swap

I have a 97 chevy s-10 engine with a 2.2L (4cyl.) Rear wheel drive engine. I found a 95 chevy s-10 engine with a 4.3L (V6 Vortec) with 4 wheel drive. I want to take the engine and set it in my 97 truck for rear wheel drive only. Can I use My same transmission?

No. You would need the trans from a RWD S Series and the proper computer and front wiring harness to match. You will also need the 4.3 front springs and if you have a tach you will also need the V6 version.
