Electrical problem
1996 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 89k miles

I have a 96 s10. I have a problem starting it. I have new starter, new relay, still wont start. I did find that I had a bad wire that ran to the light under my hood. So being as there has not been a light there since I got the truck I cut the wire and taped it off. As of now the truck still wont start. I check all the connections the are all good. I the went as for as to bypass everything with a push button. So now I have the button. I still turn the key to power everything up. And it had started well. It only starts when it wants though. Do you have anything that could help me? If you have any questions for me that would help you answer my question please ask.

Have you checked whether the little small purple wire at the starter has power? Did you check the neutral safety switch/Transmission range switch/sensor? And the starter circuit on the ignition switch.
