when you put the new battery in did the truck start?, what does your voltage guage say when it is running? Can you jump start it from another vehicle? Even with a new battery the regulator in the altinator could be bad. not saying it is, make sure you check all the wire connections for corrosion, when you get truck running turn on all electrical things like radio wipers headlights heater, to see if the altinator is putting out enough voltage. if the lights get really dim then you will know it is not charging.
