1996 Chevy S-10 air

i have a 1996 chevy s10..the air wont come out of the vents like it is supposed to..it is acting like it is stuck in defrost and it stays that way even when i switch it to another mode..i suspect a vent may be stuck but i dont know where to look to check...

this test will involve some useage of a vaccum guage and a DMM. and some minor mechanical ability to get to the switches. are you up for it?
