1996 Chevy S-10 ABS System Computer

ABS light stays on. When it goes off, vehicle brakes unevenly. Code in engine computer indicates the ABS control unit malfunction. Where is ABS computer located? I would like to replace it with a used one. I checked all the Recall and SB's, but they don't seem to apply to my problem.

the electronic brake control module (EBCM) is mounted on the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) located at the left rear of the engine compartment
