Hello, I am hearing a popping noise, not actually sure how to describe it from the front end drivers side. Near the tire itself but NOT the tire. At first it only did it as I made turns, now it does it while driving forward as well. Any ideas and is it safe to drive like this until I can get it repaired?

Hi:
It could be many things. My guess is since it does it when you drive straight is that the CV jounts are ok. It could be a ball joint, control arm bushing, sway bar bushing. Does it do it any time or does it happen at specific times like when using the brakes?

Truly, without checking it personally, I honestly can't tell you how safe or unsafe it is.

Thank-you. Yes, it does it at anytime. Never any specific time like accelerating or braking.

Hi Again:
Because it's doing it at any time regardles of road conditions, turning, stoping. I recommend you take it and have it checked. It could be a front end component, wheel bearing.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
