1995 Chevy S-10 High Idle

I have a 1995 chevrolet s-10 with about 5,000 miles on the new motor. Lately the idle has been up around 2500 to 3000 rpm when it is in neutral. Could it possibly be a bad throttle body gasket?

best to start cheap and small! i would check the tps (throtle position sensor)
