Can I ground a terminal on my data link connector to read the flashes for a fault code? And if so, what number terminal? I have an engine VIN Z.

some 1995 came in with the OBD connector
and if so u need a code reader
but if you have the ALDL connector you can ground the two terminals to the codes by flashing check engine light
