Engine Cooling problem
1995 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I had my water pump replaced on my truck, then water added to the radiator just because I was needing to drive it home and park it for further repair, there for I didn't add any antifreeze, my plan was to get the radiator flushed, the battery died, and the truck ended up sitting for 1 1/2 years because of unemployment reasons, but it has went through a cold winter and I have recently purchased a new battery and have it running, it has a rough idol which I expect, but it is bubbling through the radiator and also bubbling through the overflow, I have had people tell my my engine needs "burped" from where the water pump had been replaced there is air in the engine now, and I have had people tell me the radiator needs flushed and could cause the bubbling and the dreadful thought of the blown head gasket, or cracked head, but I am low income and I am a female that can work on most of the minor things, but need the tips on getting this truck back to running good again, any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My main question was about the bubbling through the radiator and overflow.

Hi there,

If the engine temp is normal and you have good temp at the heater and the radiator is hot at the top and the bottom, you will have good circulation, if the car continues to bubble up through the radiator I would be getting a Co head check done to see if the head is OK, start here.
