how do you install a used brake booster and make sure that it is working properly?

1. Disconnect master cylinder assembly and vacuum hose from power brake unit.
2. Disconnect power brake unit pushrod from brake pedal.
3. Remove power brake unit attaching nuts from inside of vehicle.
4. Remove power brake unit.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Torque power brake unit and master cylinder mounting nuts to specification.
The main way to test a used one is to take a hand vacuum pump and put the brake booster under vacuum and see if it hold's vacuum.
