Hello,

I pushed the 4 wheel button and had no problem. About 30 seconds into the drive I heard and felt a loud clunk. 4 wheel seemed to be working fine. I turned the 4 wheel off to make a sharp turn then back on again and the truck shook while I was driving for a few seconds then stopped. 4 wheel seemed to be working. I later shifted out of 4wheel for dry pavement. To test to see if it would shake again I tried to shift again while on dry pavement. This time the truck shook for a few blocks and I couldn't tell if it had shifted into 4 wheel.

Chances are you have a bad universal joint on the front drive shaft. Check that. If they are tight, check CV joints. Because it vibrates, my guess is a bad u-joint.

Let me know what you find.

Wendy:
I'm glad you got it fixed. Next time, let me know and I'll explaine how to replace it on your own. That way you can save labor cost and most likely get the part cheaper. We're here to help.

Take care, have a great holiday, and thanks for using 2carpros. Com.
