The rear seal on my truck has started to leak pretty bad now. About how much would it cost to repair and how much work would it be to do this. The seal on the oil pan also needs to be replaced. Also would it be better to put a new motor in the truck due to the age and millage or tear down and repair the one I have now?

To do this you need to pull the trans out and then replace the seal as it's one piece, plus replacing the oil pan gasket. Whether you get another motor is up to you. You woul d be looking at about 9 hours labor and multiply that by what the labor rate is, plus parts which would be close to $100. I'd bee guessing but would think in the $600-800 range.
