1994 Chevy S-10 gauge fuse 4

My truck will start, and idol, but when my vehicle rolls forward or I ingage the transmision it blow out fuse # 4 on my fuse box. What could be the causes of this?

Hi valicon1234,

There is a shorting somewhere and it could be related to the gear shifting.

Turn ignition to ON, engage the trans to any other position, does the fuse blow? If yes, then it is related to the gear indicator switch. Check for loose wires that is being brushed by the shifter or its linkages to produse shorting.
