1994 Chevy S-10 brake problems

Brakes problem
1994 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

The breaks on my Chevy S-10 go to the floor when the vacuum booster IS hooked up. I think the vacuum booster might be bad. If not what should i do?

Pump the brake a few times hold it in and start the vehicle the pedal should move down slightly if not the brake booster has a problem -also check the check valve-
