I took my truck to be inspected and it failed due to a clogged EGR valve. I've been told that you can clean them and it should pass, but I don't know how to get to and remove it, muchless how to clean the sucker. Please send detailed instructions on how to remove, clean and replace. Thanking you in advance for your time and assistance.

Is it the 4.3L engine?

The EGR valve is in front of engine-remove the intake tube and you're there.
