1991 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i need to know how to know where to put 1st firing wire to cap there is no number on cap how can i know where to put wires on cap?

turn the engine over until the timing mark on the HMB line up with the timing tab.

take the cap off and look to where the rotor is pointing.

(you have a 50/50 chance of it pointing at #1)

take the number one plug out and have a helper rotate the crank with socket.hold a finger over the hole. when you feel compression (pushing your finger out) align the timing marks on the dampner. now your rotor is at #1. even mark the block where its pointing, put the cap on and that is where your wire goes.
