Hi, thanks for the donation. Did check primary voltage at the coil, pink wire, use a testlite, goes hot when you turn on the key.

My dad and I tested all the wires that had to do with fire going to the distributor. The testor lit up on all wires. No fire coming from the distributor. Dont know if this will help but I was doing 60mph on interstate when it just shut down. Truck was running darn good before this happen. No warning the problem was coming.

Hi, I need definitive answer on the pink wire, that is primary voltage to the coil, goes hot with the key on. If there is voltage use testlite on tach/negative side of coil, engine cranking, there should be a pulse. With any electrical part, if the wiring circuit is faulty, replacing the part won't fix it.

I did like you said and tested primary voltage to the coil. I am getting fire from there. I tested the negative side and there is no pulse when engine is cranking. What should I do next?

Are you saying, voltage on the negative side but, no pulse? Engine cranking, do you have injector pulse? Does the rotor turn when you crank the engine?

Just learn my problem. Distributor was not turning once I pull cap off to observe. Pull timing gear case off and notice that the timing gear was missing some teeth. Im being told different things to do. Should I pull the head or just replace the gear?

You should be able to get a timing gear set. Gears and chain.
