WHAT STEPS DO I NEED TO TAKE TO REPLACE FREEZE PLUS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF A 4.3 V6?

I always use a small chissel or screwdriver to remove the old one. Make sure not to damage the engine block. After that, clean the opening with a lite sand paper if needed, and you have two choices. You can get a rubber or OEM type steel plug replacement. If you choose the steel type, I always use a flat piece of wood and tap it into place. The wood helps it go straight. The rubber type, you push into the opening and tighten a nut on it and it expands becoming tight. I like them when there is little room for a hammer. NOTE: you will need to drain the coolant prior to doing this.
