Hello -

To better assist you, if you need to get back with me, please tell me the model of your vehicle. Is it a pick-up or S10 Blazer. Also the engine size in liter and the 8th digit of your VIN.

Okay, so I make sure I understand you correctly. Things were doing just fine and then the engine started to only get to about 140 degrees and the heater stopped blowing warm air.

Then you changed the thermostat to a 195 degree one, put in a 50/50 mix of green Prestone coolant and now it sill does not get more than 140 degrees and you still do not have hot heater air?

What did the old thermostat look like..... Was it stuck open?

What does the top radiator hose feel like?

What type of antifreeze were you using before... Was it orange... Dex-cool?

The heater hoses..... Are both, the one going into the firewall and coming out, they are both cool or is one hot and one not?

You bleed the system really good of all air, had the heater running on high when you refilled with coolant?
