Engine Mechanical problem
1988 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have a 1988 Chevy S10 Long Bed Pickup with a 2-wheel drive 5 Speed manual transmission a 4 cyl 2.5L Vortec engine, with throttle body injection that has been overworked in its lifetime and is now junk. I also have an 1983 Chevy Camaro that is unregisterable/untagable with a 2-wheel drive 4 Speed automatic transmission, a 305 5.0L V8 engine and a 4 Barrel Quadrojet Carborator.
My question is, if I wanted to put the Camaro engine and Tranny into the S-10 Pickup, what kind of obsticles might I be facing, and what advice can you give me if I hapen to encounter them?

First, we always recommend staying with direct fit parts. Anytime you change things, problems always raise thier ugly heads.

AS far as what you are asking, everything needs changed, mounts, vacuum hoses, wiring harnesses, computer. And the list goes on. However, if I recall, there is a kit that you can purchase to put the V8 into an S-10. I can't tell you the cost because I don't know, but I'm sure there is one out there. Go to google and try searching it. I'll bet you find it.

Let me know.
