1987 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have a guy trying to get my truck cranked after the engine swap. He says that the fuse for the fuel pump & fuel injectors blow everytime he goes to crank it. He cannot find out what is causing the fuse to blow. The truck will run for a second or so and then the fuse will blow. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks, T.

Hi:
If it blows a fuse as soon as the key is turned on, he had to have pinched a power wire to the fuel pump causing a dead short. That is where I would start. In fact, if you can get to the fuel pump and disconnect it, I bet the fuse will still blow.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
