Tuned up this truck, but still has problem.
Acts like it is starved for fuel when starting out
or going thru first couple of gears.
In the old days, i would think it was like
an acelerator pump in a carbureator.

It just is iratic on acceleration trying to start out.
Embarrassing,, makes it look like you dont know how to drive a stick shift!

On the highway it is fine.

Thanks for your help,, i think it definitly has something to do with the fuel system.

Have you inspected the fuel filter? if not do so and turn around and check the fuel pressure with a gauge designed for your fuel system and comeback with the readings so I can evaluate, we start here.
