Engine Performance problem
1985 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 1K miles

New engine and carb. We omited the EFE gasket below the carb. We have some hesitation on exceleration. I was told the screen in the EFE atomises the fuel and without it I was dumping to much fuel at once. If I slowly press the acceleraton the vehicle does not hesitate. Thanks

Best thing to do here is put it back on and see if it quits. If it does, then your problem is solved. If not it's something else. Check for vacuum leaks/ timing stuff like that first.
