1985 Chevy S-10 car only starts when stater fluid is spraye

Truck will only start when starter fluid is sprayed into it///and now the hood release inside the truck has broken and i cant get the hood opened /i have just lost my job and am single & cant afford a mechanic or tow truck to get it to someplace to check it out //thanks

Looks as if your engine has lost compression.If you take the oil filler cap off w/engine running and it is blowing air and some smoke out of it this is probably a problem in your bottem end,Rings,cylinder wear.piston's,etc. If not blowing out oil filler you probably have valve trouble in top end,heads,. Either way this will not be cheap.Sorry. Steve931 :roll:
