My power windows go down, but when I go to put them up, they only go up about an inch, then stop. If I wait a few minutes, I can get them to go up another inch or so. Does this sound like a power window motor going bad? That is my guess, but I don't want to put a lot of money into power window repair not to fix the problem.

Possibly the motor, or the window is binding in the track. You would have to remove the interior door panel and inspect track and regulator.
