Seat belt light stays on flashing

Four cylinder front wheel drive automatic 53,538 miles.

When I start my car, the seat belt light stays on flashing. It should go out once I buckle the driver's seat belt, according to the owner's manual.

There is a switch in the female side of seatbelt, that completes circuit when belt is inserted in, switch is bad.
