sputtering engine, smell fuel, catalytic conv. glowing orang

My '96 Z24 w/150,000 miles has begun to sputter badly and has no power...
fuel pressure is in range and i replaced the fuel regulator...all injectors check out fine..where do i go now...?

Makes me wonder if the cat is plugged at this point. It may have started with a rich problem, poor ignition allowing fuel to get down to the cat. You can disconnect the exhaust at the motor and run it to see.
Regardless, I would check to see what cylinders aren't firing.
