I have a 2001 Chevy S10, 4 Cylinder with approximately 60,000 miles on it. Last night, after I had exited the freeway, I came to a stop at a stop sign. As I went to accelerate after, I pressed the gas pedal down and the truck did not respond at all. The truck will maintain its idling speed (2-4 MPH) in both drive and reverse, however the engine does not respond at all to depressing the accellerator. The Gas Pedal actaully lays completely down on the floor now. What kind of problem is it, and how expensive will it be to fix?

Under the hood on the drivers side should be where the throttle cablle hooks to the throttle body. Check
and see if it opens the throttle pedal is depressed. If it is connected it should open the throttle. If cable does not pull in there might be a problem with a broken cable. First check connections on throttle cable make sure hooked up right.
