I have a 2003 Silverado 4x4, 49,000 miles, just had the front differential rebuilt by gm because of noise when accelerating, now I got it back, and works great accelerating, but when i let off the gas, it makes noises, still coming from the front end, could it be something other than the differential?

You sure its the front end and not the transfer case?If your positive then you might want to take it back.It sounds like they might have missed the set-up on the front gear set. Before you take it back check the front wheel bearings, they have a tendancy to go out, non serviceable bearing.
