was just wondering on a 96 chevy caviler would it be easy enough for me who is a rookie at auto repair to change my own serpentine belt

Get yourself a repair manual for your car and go to town. They are just as easy if not easier to install than a regular v belt.

very easy to change, even as a rookie, if you know the belt pattern. It ends up in a bubble "Z" pattern.

if you can ge your hands on a digital camera, take a picture of the belts pattern. then it will be a no brainer to figure it out
