2010 Other Chevrolet Models overheating of engine

I have bought a new chevrolet spark on Feb 2010, t i feel that my car engine is overheated. The guage shows 04 bar of coolant and when i reached at home, the bonut is going to hot every time. when i start my car the gauge at its lower level but after 200 to 300 mtr driving the bars on the gauge goes up. Is it normal or there is any problem with my car. please suggest.
