Hi. My Tracker's rear left brake locks up. The symptoms seem to start when I go in reverse, even if for only 5-10 feet. Once it starts locking I can get it to let go by going forward again and by pressing the brake pedal once, which goes all the way to the floor. This does not always work. I eventually have to take it in because the brake completely locks and I can't get the car to move. I have taken it to get fixed to two different mechanics, both saying they didn't know what it was. They both cleaned the brake (drum) and then it didn't lock for one month, then later one week. It is starting to lock again. Any ideas?

Try a fresh combo kit ( all the brake springs) If it is only doing it on one wheel I doubt the problem goes much beyond that, maybe a fresh wheel cylinder too.
