RECENTLY THE HEATER FAN ON MY 2001 CHEVY PRIZM HAS STARTED TO RUN VERY LOUD AND IT ACTUALLY VIBRATES THE CAR DASH AND STEERING WHEEL WHEN IT IS ON THE HIGHER SETTINGS. THE TWO LOWEST SETTINGS STOPPED WORKING ABOUT A YEAR AGO. THE HEATER STILL PUTS OUT HEAT BUT THE NOISE AND VIBRATION IS A LITTLE DISTURBING WHEN DRIVING. ANY IDEAS ON WHY THE LOWER SETTING DON'T WORK AND WHY THE TWO HIGH SETTINGS ARE RUNNING SO LOUD AND ROUGH?

The blower motor itelf is on the way out, and as for the lower settings, replace both motor and resistor when you fix it...
