When warm, at startup, the speedometer "revs" as if it is a tachometer. On the road, when in direct drive, upshifting, the speedo goes up higher than the speed of the vehicle then drops down at the shift and levels off. Ideas?

I would start with the vehicle speed sensor.

I had Jimmy Johnson Chevrolet install the VSS. It just made it worse. They previously, (300) miles earlier, had the speedometer fixed. They next pulled the DRAC and sent it to San Diego Speedo/Tach. It checked out as good. They are now pulling the speedo again to send back to AER in Brea, Ca. It has only been 300 miles but over a year since the speedo repair so AER will not do it under warranty. Any further suggestions? All input greatly appreciated.
