My son and I both have 1991 Chev 2500 pickups that have the same problem with the air conditioning. It works fine most of the time but cuts off. The air conditioning has been checked out and is fine, but we have found out that by unhooking the battery for 10 seconds makes the air conditioning start working again. What makes the electrical part fail and then start working again?

I would have the computer scanned, when checking the a/c,be sure to run engine at 2000rpm,that is when you will get high pressure,You could have a high pressure switch cutting out then not reengaging when pressure drops.Good Luck,Lou
