1988 Other Chevrolet Models Automatic 213031 miles

i tried putting coolant in my reservior and within 10 mins it was empty and my vehicle temp was over 240 what could be the problem.

Try replacing the thermostat if it continous check the water pump if its pumping and the radiator if its clogged if okay could be air in it try bleeding it don't work time to block and pressure test it
