1987 Other Chevrolet Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

the alternator charge wire was not hook to any thing i need to know what it goes to. this is the battery charge wire

one end hould o to the alternator large post that takes a 10mm nut(wrench size) and it should have a rubber boot over it to protect it. the other shoud go to the large red wire coming form starter.
