Where is the horn relay on an 86 chevy el camino. How can you tell when it is bad.

I don't know where the relay is but you should be able to follow the wires from under you dash. The best way to test it is with a volt meter. Test and see if power is getting to the relay(someone needs to hold the horn). If it is you should be able to hear the relay click when power is applied. To be sure you can test if power is coming out of the relay. Before you do any of that you should check the switch in the steering wheel. I know the ones in the '80's camaros went bad often. That is something you can safely bypass with a screwdriver.
