1986 Other Chevrolet Models V8 220000 miles

I have 1986 Chevy Scottsdale flatbed truck which I left running for about 10-15 min and when I turned it off it backfired(LOUD) and it hasn't started since, what could be wrong with it?

Have you checked for spark at plugs? carb or TBI? fuel to engine?
