i smell gas coming from the engine area after i park i have a rebuilt 350 with a rv cam edlebrock carb and intake and i bypass all the emissions but still have the cat

Could be a problem with the float system/excessive fuel pressure/fuel lines leaking/stuck closed choke plate overloading the engine.
