1972 Other Chevrolet Models 72 El Camino Slow starts after e

1972 Other Chevrolet Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

After I drive my El Camino around town, then park it for awhile, it's hard to start.
What could be causing this?

Most parts if not all parts have been replaced.
Could I have faulty starter?

People always tell me that Chevy 350 small blocks are know for this.

I don't believe that.

Any answers?

some do and some don't depending how close the exhaust is and if there is a heat shield keeping the hot temp away from the starter.
