1967 Other Chevrolet Models power steering gear box

the millage is realy unknown because the odometer is stuck. any way this chevy c10 pickup did not have power steering, so my daughter had power steering installed approx. two years ago. now I've noticed that there is a lots of play between the steering colum and the gear box for approximately one inch of play each way. whats wrong ?. those that mean a new gear box or can it be repaired

hi i would have the dront end checked. could be the gear box. but mostlikely a worn front end part.but if it is the gearbox it can be rebuilt but not adjusted good luck billymac
