1984 Chevy Monte carlo turn signals

left side works fine, but right side still lights up as a solid color, but don't flash and all of the light bulbs have just been replaced it has to be a connection

try replacing the flasher first. Alot of times that is the problem. Just make sure youget the right one. then check the bulbs on the one side as they may be not in tight or a bad connection like you think.
