I put my car in the shop last week to find out why the check engine light came on and to fix my car's over temping problem. They told me the check engine light was for an ignition coil going bad and that was why my car was vibrating. They told me after doing a cooling system pressure test that my issue with over heating was my radiator. They said that my thermostat was opening and closing when it was suppose to, my fans where coming on when they needed to, and that there where no leaks in my system so the only thing it could be was the radiator. They supposedly put a new one in and on my way to work saturday I had no issues, it was on my way back from work that it started getting hot even while driving at 65mph. I pulled over into a gas station and saw coolant leaking from under my engine and rolling down the concrete. I took my car to the shop today and they said that coolant is mixing with oil and that they dont know if its a head gasket or intake gasket but that it would cost me another 1,023 to find out. My problem is when I gave them my car it didn't leak or overheat to the extent it just did. Is that a fair price for the job and should I even be paying? If I shouldn't what is the legal standard? Are they BS'ing me or telling me the truth, does it all sound real? Thanks
