2005 Chevy Monte Carlo heater now just blows cold air

in addition to the fact that my heater now only blows cold air. the temperature gauge is going up to read way above normal

stop driving. fill the radiator back up with coolant then drive your vehicle to shop to have the coolant system pressure teested for leaks, then fix the leak, then both problems will be gone. hope this helps
